Our team of neonatologists (a subspecialty of paediatrics) cares for newborns in the delivery room, in the newborn unit and in the newborn intensive care unit 24 hours a day.
In the case of foreseeable risks (ex. premature birth, high-risk pregnancy), problems during or after birth, neonatologists supervise the newborn’s care. The intensive care unit which has existed since 1996 provides care for more then 200 diseased newborns a year. Also all common preventive medical checkups of newborns are carried out non-invasively by means of modern examination procedures.
There is a cooperation agreement with a big children clinic in Munich, Kinderklinik des Dritten Ordens.
