The postpartum period is one of the most intense phases in a woman's life - physically, emotionally and hormonally. Many mothers experience not only feelings of happiness in the first weeks and months after giving birth, but also deep exhaustion, crying for no reason, inner emptiness or the feeling that they are not the mother they want to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What many people don't realise: Postpartum depression<\/strong> - also called postpartum depression - affect an estimated 10-15 % of all mothers. They are not a weakness, bad motherhood or failure. They are a serious mental illness that is treatable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important: The so-called Baby Blues<\/strong> - a short phase of low mood in the first few days after the birth - is to be distinguished from postpartum depression. If the stress lasts longer or becomes more severe, professional support is important.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
