Information evenings on childbirth at the Dr Geisenhofer Maternity Clinic

The birth of your child is a unique event for which you will want to be as well prepared as possible. The Dr Geisenhofer Maternity Clinic warmly invites you to its regular information evenings, where you can get to know our maternity ward and ask any questions you may have about the birth and the period afterwards.

What to expect at the information evening

Our information evenings last around an hour and offer you a comprehensive insight into all aspects of obstetrics. Experienced midwives, gynaecologists, paediatricians and anaesthetists will guide you through the evening and will be on hand to answer any individual questions you may have.

Key points on the agenda for our information evening

  • Introducing our obstetrics department
  • Meet members of the team, including doctors and midwives
  • Find out the differences between a delivery with an attending physician (attending physician system) and a delivery in our main department without an attending physician
  • Receive important information about birth support and pain management
  • Visit — where possible — our delivery rooms and patient rooms

English-language information evening for international patients

In addition to our German-language information evenings, we also offer an English-language information evening for international expectant parents from time to time. Our English-language information evening on childbirth is aimed at anyone who would like comprehensive information about pregnancy, childbirth and their stay at our clinic.

The format, content and duration are the same as our regular information evening – however, the evening will be conducted entirely in English. This ensures that international families receive all the important information they need about antenatal care, obstetric care and giving birth in Germany in a language they can understand.
