Frequently asked questions about hospitalisation

Birth registration

1. about our attending physicians:
If you are interested in one of our Attending physicians If you would like to give birth, please make a one-off appointment at the practice of your choice (approx. 20-25 weeks' gestation). The affiliated doctor's practice will register you for the birth in our clinic and accompany you during your delivery. Your previous gynaecologist will continue to look after you during your pregnancy.
 
2. about our Dr Geisenhofer MVZ
You can also register in the Dr Geisenhofer MVZ register for the birth. Our clinic staff will then take care of you during the delivery.

Checklist for admission

Please bring the following documents with you to your admission:

Maternity passport
Family register
Insurance card
Vaccination certificate of the sibling (if available)
Medical history form (completed) 

Emergency admission

As we do not operate an emergency outpatient clinic, all patients must be registered with us in advance via one of our attending physicians, our MVZ or one of our cooperation partners.

Should an emergency nevertheless arise, you can reach us at any time by telephone at 089 / 3831-0. We will immediately forward you to the doctor on duty or to our midwives.

In this case, please bring the following documents with you:

Anaesthesia documents, if an anaesthesia consultation has already taken place 

Health insurance card

Maternity passport

OP preparation

If you come to us for a planned operation, we ask you to observe the following instructions before the operation:

  • Medication: Your attending physician will clarify with you individually which medication you may take prior to an operation during the pre-operation consultation.
  • Sobriety: Please have your last solid meal the evening before. You can drink clear liquids such as still water up to 2 hours before admission to the clinic.
  • Piercings: For your safety all piercings on the body can be removed. If you have difficulties with the removal, please consult your piercer.

If you have any questions about your OP preparation your attending physician will be happy to help you.

Prepayments and payment options

For patients who are not insured with a statutory or private insurance company, an advance payment in the amount of any expected flat rate per case (DRG) will be charged on the day of admission, even if a declaration of assumption of costs is submitted by a foreign insurance company.

The advance payment to be made can be requested daily from our billing department on 089/3831 271, stating the treatment to be expected, and paid in advance by bank transfer or by EC on admission.
Companies that cannot be invoiced directly include, among others:

Allianz Worldwide, International SOS, Cigna International, Care Concept, Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, etc.

However, most of these companies are prepared to take over the advance payment for their policyholders with the appropriate lead time.

You can settle outstanding amounts conveniently by EC card, Credit card (except American Express) or receive a Invoice.

Optional services

The non-medical optional service includes accommodation in a single, double or family room with a wide range of services and additional benefits.
The use of optional services requires that this service is included in the tariff of your private or supplementary insurance or that you wish to treat yourself to this comfort and bear the costs yourself.

  • Single room Cat. I Price: 130,71 €/day
  • Single room Cat. II Price: 118,04 €/day
  • Single room Cat.III Price: 115,84 €/day
  • Double room price: 62,95 €/day
  • Family room price: 200€/day plus price for the patient's single room depending on the category, minimum stay is two nights

If a family room is available, pregnant women and women giving birth may bring an accompanying person with them, who can also stay overnight in the clinic. This option is not available for patients from other specialities.

Please note: A family room cannot be booked in advance. Availability depends on our daily occupancy.

Accommodation in a family room is a purely self-pay service that is not reimbursed by private health insurance.
In the case of self-paying patients, the costs for the selected accommodation must be paid to the clinic by EC or credit card on the day of discharge.

Please understand that we can only allow you to make use of a non-medical optional service if our occupancy permits. However, we will always endeavour to fulfil your request.

WLAN

You don't want to miss anything during your stay at our clinic? No problem, because we want to make the time you spend with us even more enjoyable. With our patient entertainment system, you can easily keep up to date directly from your patient's bed.

Whether TV, radio, internet or telephone - everything is possible. Of course, we also have WLAN in the clinic so that you can also use all your own mobile devices.

Meals

Our experienced kitchen team takes care of your physical well-being every day with fresh and varied dishes. Every day three different menus (full diet, vegetarian diet, light diet for breastfeeding mothers, etc.) to choose from.

Please understand that we will serve you our standard menu on the day of admission. You decide for yourself what you would like to eat the next day and book your wishes directly via the patient tablet in your room. For organisational reasons, the menu must be ordered by 1 pm the day before.

If you are unable to eat certain foods due to allergic reactions or food intolerances, please let us know. If possible, please get in touch with us in advance.

Meal times:

Dinner from 17:00

Breakfast from 7:30 am

Lunch from 11:30 am

Valuables

The clinic cannot accept any liability for valuables such as money, jewellery, clothing, etc. There are safes in all rooms. Therefore, please do not leave any valuables or cash in the bedside drawer.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in the entire clinic building.

Our clinic has very sensitive smoke detectors. If the smoking ban is not observed, we reserve the right to pass on the costs for the automatically generated fire brigade report to the person responsible.

Please also refrain from smoking on the terrace, as the smoke will drift into the hospital rooms above.

Flowers

Containers and vases are available on every ward.

Potted plants are not permitted in the hospital for reasons of hygiene.

Feedback

Your opinion, wishes, complaints or praise help us to improve the service for our patients.

Next to our letterboxes on the wards you will find „feedback cards“ about your stay with us. So that we can constantly optimise our services for you, we ask you to fill in the feedback card at the end of your inpatient stay and place it in the postboxes provided.

If you are unable to resolve your concerns or complaints in a direct discussion with the doctors, nursing staff or other employees of the clinic, please contact our internal complaints management team directly:
089 / 3831-261 or under .

This department accepts patient concerns and complaints on behalf of the management.

Dismissal

The discharge date has been agreed between the patient and the attending physician/gynaecologist as her recovery progresses.
The patient administration has also been informed and is preparing all administrative matters in connection with your discharge. Our administration is located on the ground floor.

When you are discharged, the following formalities are required:

  • Billing of optional services if these are not covered by the insurance cover
  • Billing of patient entertainment, if applicable
  • Receipt of copies of the signed contracts

We would like the patient rooms to be vacated early (by 09:00 for operations and by 11:00 for deliveries).

In order to ensure a smooth process for the following patients and for organisational reasons, a later discharge time is not possible.
If you are not picked up until later, you are welcome to stay in the public areas of the clinic and store your luggage in the administration.

Birth certificate

After the birth of your child, we officially register it with the Munich registry office (= birth announcement). Please note, however, that you must cannot apply for or order a birth certificate at the clinic. This must be done by yourself via the Online ordering service of the Munich registry office take place.

However, we will be happy to assist you in submitting the required documents to the registry office. For this we need the following from you Copies the following documents:

  1. Passport or identity card of the mother and father (front and back)
  2. Birth certificate of the mother and father
  3. Birth certificate (you will receive this in the delivery room after the birth)
  4. Birth certificate of the previous child/children

Please also bring, if the parents are married to each other:

  • Documentary evidence Proof of the marriage and the name used in the marriage (e.g. marriage certificate)

Please also bring, if the parents are not married to each other:

  • Documentary evidence Proof of acknowledgement of paternity and declaration of custody

Please understand that no copies can be made for you at the clinic.

Baby gallery

With the parents„ consent, we publish photos and data of children born in our clinic. You are welcome to send this picture to your family, relatives and friends, simply click on the link below the picture “send as e-card".

Please understand that we can only present the pictures in our baby gallery a few days after the birth.

Data protection

All data that you provide to us on admission and, of course, everything relating to your illness and treatment is subject to statutory data protection and is handled in accordance with data protection regulations.
