Women's Clinic Dr Geisenhofer
Your Gynaecology and Maternity Clinic in Munich

— for all patients with statutory and private health insurance —

Our Women’s and Maternity Clinic at the English Garden is one of Munich’s most long-established maternity units. Around 2,000 babies are born here every year – supported by midwives, doctors and a team of paediatricians who are on site round the clock. You decide for yourself whether to give birth with our hospital team or with your own consultant.

We’re here for women even after they’ve given birth: with our certified breast centre, the MIC and endometriosis centre as well as the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery.

Since 1940 – over 100,000 births

Giving birth at the Dr Geisenhofer Maternity Clinic

Safety and a sense of security are not mutually exclusive. At our maternity clinic, midwives, gynaecologists, anaesthetists and paediatricians are on site round the clock. The delivery theatres, maternity ward and neonatal intensive care unit are all on the same floor. If your baby needs assistance, the team will be with you in just a few steps.

Here’s what you can expect from us:

  • Free choice: Giving birth with our hospital team or with your chosen consultant
  • Midwives on a contract basis, who will be there to support you personally throughout the entire birth
  • Perinatal Centre Level 3 with an in-house neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) – for 30 years
  • Experience with complex births as well: Vaginal delivery in the case of a breech presentation and with twins; external version
  • Family room and single rooms on request (subject to availability)
  • A quiet location near the English Garden with its own kitchen

We place great importance on minimising interventions during childbirth as far as possible. This is in line with modern obstetric practice. We are aware that every birth is different and sometimes does not go as planned. In such cases, everything is on standby.

At the Breast Centre at the English Garden (BzaEG) at the Dr Geisenhofer Women’s Clinic, gynaecologists, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, radiotherapists and plastic surgeons work closely together. At the weekly tumour board meeting, your treatment is planned jointly and in accordance with the latest guidelines – from diagnosis through to surgery and follow-up care.

  • Certified since 2007 in accordance with the requirements of the German Cancer Society (OnkoZert) and to DIN EN ISO 9001
  • Personalised case management from day one – for appointments, forms and all organisational matters
  • In-house breast reconstruction, including using the patient’s own tissue
  • A support network offering psycho-oncology, physiotherapy, social services and self-help groups

Our patients often find themselves in extremely unusual circumstances. It is important to us to respond to their individual needs and to provide them with as comprehensive information as possible about their diagnosis and treatment options. Together, we will find the best and safest form of treatment.
